New Representatives for Ontario's Interior Design Community 2014

The Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) is pleased to announce four new appointments to their Board of Management. ARIDO welcomes incoming president Greg Quinn, of X-Design Inc. in Toronto, as well as three new directors. The new board was appointed at the ARIDO Annual General Meeting, held March 19, 2014, at the Allstream Centre in Toronto.

"My prime focus this year will be to conduct research that will help set the stage for ARIDO’s evolution as a stricter regulator," says Quinn. "This research will focus on business and financial planning and greater governance practices.” Quinn goes on to say: "Another priority will be to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure ARIDO has an active voice in the future of the design and construction industry in Ontario."

An active member of the association, Greg has a strong understanding of current issues facing the industry. He possesses more than 20 years of experience in the design and management of corporate, hospitality, institutional, and retail interiors projects. As the principal of x-Design, Greg has led the completion of more than 2,000 projects ranging in size from 1,500 to 1.4 million square feet, including the Computershare, CMA Ontario, Nine West, and Best Buy Canada.

Having successfully completed her term as association president, Janine Grossmann of Kasian Architecture, Interior Design and Planning Ltd. assumes the role of past-president. Deanna Hayko, of B+ H Architecture in Toronto, assumes the role of president-elect.

ARIDO welcomes three new members to the board. Alison Logue of vitamin-d design inc., Naji Mourani of NORR Limited and Susan Tienhaara of Upper Grand District School Board begin their three year terms as directors. Lucia Toffoli De Biasio of LBD Design Inc. and Sue Bennett, of Bennett Design Associates complete their terms on the Board.
