Kwantlen Welcomes Internationally Renowned Landscape Architect Cornelia Hahn Oberlander

Kwantlen's Faculty of Interior Design is honoured to welcome Cornelia Hahn Oberlander to a lecture at the Richmond Campus on February 29th, 2012. Oberlander's life-long commitment to the development of sustainable landscape design, along with her careful consideration for the human factor within all living and built environments, has been recognized over the years through many national and international awards of distinction. More recently, her work on the VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Center, alongside architectural firm Perkins + Wills has produced one of North America's first buildings to be certified under the Cascadia Living Green Building Challenge. Oberlander is also the 2011 recipient of the IFLA Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award, the highest honour that the International Federation of Landscape Architects can bestow upon any one individual. Kwantlen's Faculty of Interior Design looks to her address with great enthusiasm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Debbie Johnstone Bjerke at 604.599.2755.
