New School of Design At Kwantlen

Kwantlen recently hosted an exciting media event where Premier Christy Clark and Chip Wilson, founder of Lululemon, unveiled plans for the New School of Design. A generous donation of $12 million from Lululemon will be matched by the province and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. In total, this amounts to $36 million for a brand new, state-of-the-art facility. Construction will take place on the Richmond campus and is scheduled for completion in the Fall of 2015. This new integrated facility will be shared by students across fashion, interior design, product design and graphics. “We are enormously grateful to Shannon, Chip, Lululemon and the Province for this investment,” said Dr. Alan Davis, Kwantlen President and Vice-Chancellor. “This gift will be transformative for KPU and for B.C.’s design industries.”
