IDC Bestows Prestigious Fellow Awards

Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) is pleased to announce its newest Fellow members. Presented as part of IDC’s Annual Meeting in Winnipeg, the awards are the highest level of membership granted by the Association. Fellow members are selected by IDC’s Board of Management in consultation with the Board of Governors.

A Fellow is a present or previous full member of the association who, through distinguished service, has contributed to the greater recognition of IDC, or of the profession. Fellowships were awarded to Brian Everton, president, Design For All Inc. in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Bruce Wardrope, managing partner, Partners By Design in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

He has presented professional development workshops across Canada on the topics of accessibility and design. Brian has served in various positions on the PIDIM council including President and also served as a Vice President on the IDC Board. Since 2004, Brian has operated Design For All Inc., a consulting firm specialized in the areas of accessibility, Universal Design and inclusive design. He is also a member of the several standing committees responsible for building code development at both the national and provincial level.
