Who can participate in PROpel?

If you’re an Intern/Provisional or an interior design student member of your provincial interior design association, then you’re eligible to participate in PROpel and compete for a chance to win a two-day, all-expense-paid trip to our PROpel conference in Toronto from May 6-8, 2017. What is this program all about?

PROpel is an interactive program and conference series developed exclusively for emerging professionals – like you! As the next generation of interior designers, we want to engage you, learn from you, and connect you with thought leaders in the industry. By networking with others in the interior design community, you will PROpel yourself and your career to the next level.

How long is the program?

PROpel will run from November 2016 until May 2017. Each of our program partners will get a designated week to interact with you. They’ll take over the full week by getting to know your inner thoughts on MindMixer. Throughout the duration of the program, you will join the conversation, share your ideas online, and earn points for a chance to win a two-day, all-expense-paid trip to our PROpel conference in Toronto from May 6-8, 2017. You can join the program at any time along the way – just remember that to make up for lost time, you might have to work a little harder to build up your points. Be sure to check back often so you can maintain your points: there’s always something new and some questions are only available for a limited time before they expire!

How does the program work?

Sign up today on MindMixer. We’ll get the conversation going by posting questions throughout the duration of the program. For every idea, thought, or comment you share, you’ll earn points that will get you one step closer to winning a two-day, all-expense-paid trip to our PROpel conference in Toronto from May 6-8, 2017. But make sure you check back often to maintain your lead: some of the questions are only available for a limited time before they expire! HINT: you’ll get a cool 50 points just for creating an account!

What is MindMixer?

We’re using the online community and idea sharing platform, MindMixer, to host our conversation. We’ve created our own page specifically for the program. All you have to do is voice your opinions on the issues that affect you as emerging professionals – and as the next generation of interior designers. And remember that for every idea, thought, or comment you share, you’ll earn points and get even closer to winning a two-day, all-expense-paid trip to our PROpel conference in Toronto from May 6-8, 2017.

How do I earn points?

On MindMixer, we’ll pick your brain by asking provocative questions and by getting you to search for the answers to our program partners' questions throughout the series. And we want you to ask us your burning questions, too! For every action you take, whether it’s telling us what you think, asking questions, and providing your input, you’ll earn points! It’s that simple! At the end of the program, the eligible frontrunners with the highest number of points will be invited to our two-day, all-expense-paid PROpel conference in Toronto from May 6-8, 2017.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Do my points count as CEU hours?

Unfortunately no, the points you earn on MindMixer will not count towards your IDCEC hours required for professional development. But! If you are one of the eligible frontrunners selected to join us at our PROpel conference in Toronto from May 6-8, 2017, you’ll be able to earn non-IDCEC hours for attending!

How do I know if I’m in the lead?

You can view your MindMixer profile at any time to see how many points you have. Keep checking the Top Contributors page at MindMixer to see if you’re still at the top of the pack!

Will joining this program cost me anything?

No! We’re bringing this program to you absolutely free of charge! Not only that, but if you are one of the eligible frontrunners selected to join us at our PROpel conference in Toronto, all your expenses will be paid including: transportation, two-night’s hotel, meals and program activities. See our Terms & Conditions section for more information.

When will I know if I’ve been selected to attend the conference?

After the program, we’ll tally the points, narrow down our eligible frontrunners, and send them an invitation to join us at our PROpel conference in Toronto from May 6-8, 2017. You’ll be notified and receive your invitation between Monday, March 6 and Friday, March 24, 2017 and must confirm your attendance within two (2) business days. So, save the date!
