    Seminar: Specifications Writing for Interior Designers (1 IDCEC hour)

    Level - Beginner

    Join fellow IDIBC members for this one-hour seminar on specifications and the important role they play when working with a group of consultants on a project. Participants will be introduced to specifications formats, the various types of specifications and what to include when specifying interior finishes and components.

    John has been working in the architectural industry for the past 43 years. His work has been largely technically focused on a project management role on wide variety of projects from small residential and public school work to large multi-discipline infrastructure projects. He has been a specifications writer/coordinator since 2006. Jon has also been a member and contributor to a large corporate specifications team at Cannon Design where his work included an output specification for the Kelowna and Vernon General Hospitals, as well as specification writing and coordination for the $300 million patient care centre at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC. He has been a member of Construction Specifications Canada since 2006 and is an active member of the executive of the Vancouver Island Chapter of CSC.
