First annual IDC/IIDA Vancouver Leaders Breakfast nearly sold out!

Thursday, February 24, 2011
7:30 to 10 a.m.

IDC is pleased to announce its first annual IDC/IIDA Vancouver Leaders Breakfast on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. The event, hosted by IDIBC, will coincide with Buildex Vancouver. Robert Ledingham, president of Ledingham Design Consultants, will receive the 2011 Leadership Award of Excellence. Trevor Linden, former NHL all-star, Olympian and active community volunteer, will be the keynote speaker.

The IIDA (International Interior Design Association) Leaders Breakfast series began as a single event, launched in New York in 1989. In 2001, the series expanded into what is now an international program in conjunction with IDC. Vancouver is the second stop of the 2011 breakfast series. More than 300 interior designers, architects, media, government representatives, and some of BC’s most influential business leaders are expected to attend.

Featured Keynote Speaker: Trevor Linden, former NHL All-star and Olympian

Trevor Linden will be a recipient of the Order of Canada 2010, recognized for his ongoing sportsmanship and community engagement as a respected leader both on and off the ice.

Throughout his career, Trevor Linden has been recognized as a respected leader on and off the ice. Trevor has built his stellar reputation on his excellent hockey skills and diplomatic demeanour. He played centre and right wing with four different NHL teams, in addition to appearing in two NHL all-star games. Linden was a member of the 1998 Canadian Olympic Hockey team in Nagano, Japan, and participated in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. He has been awarded the King Clancy Memorial Trophy and NHL Foundation Player Award for his immense contribution to charitable causes. Come and hear Trevor speak about leadership and community involvement.
